We recognize that in order to have a great year at Aretē, we all must do our part to protect ourselves and others. Let’s follow Paul’s admonition in Philippians 2:3, "Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves."
Communication is key. Please let a director know as soon as possible if you develop symptoms or test positive following a meeting day. Privacy is important to us; we will not share details without permission, but to maintain a safe environment and make wise decisions it is helpful to be informed. We have scheduled make up days should we need to postpone a meeting. Health and safety is of priority so that we can effectively serve one another and gather together. Please stay aware of the current CDC guidelines.
Finally, we will respectfully follow requests of our generous host facility should they reach out with any adjustment to our guidelines.
It is our desire to provide a healthy and safe environment for all of the children. parent(s)/guardian(s) are
encouraged to be considerate of other children when deciding whether to place a child under our care. In
general, children with the following symptoms should NOT be dropped off:
● Fever, diarrhea, or vomiting within the last 24 hours
● Green or yellow runny nose
● Eye or skin infections
● Other symptoms of communicable or infectious disease or known exposure to a contagious illness
Children who are observed by our teachers to be ill will be separated from other children and the parent or
guardian will be contacted to request that the child be picked up for the day. We cannot guarantee illness won't spread amongst our group, but we will take proper measures for known risks.
We respect your personal decision. We do not engage in debate with one another as we realize there are many different viewpoints. We will model respect to our students and one another.
We actively maintain efforts to keep groups small for the quality of your education first, and secondary for minimizing the potential for spread of infection. We are making conscious efforts in spacing of classroom usage, time in hallways, and time when we gather- such as lunch.
Sanitizer is provided for hands, washing is encouraged as often as possible, as well as surfaces wiped as opportunity allows.
